As with all International Horn Symposia, there will be plenty of opportunity to have fun with horn playing friends from around the world, both in formal and informal gatherings.

Every night after the featured artist evening concert, there will be a horn choir reading session hosted by Lowell “Spike” Shaw (of Fripperies fame!)

On Friday, Aug. 7, the International Horn Symposium will be special guests at the Eugene Emeralds minor league baseball game, and we’ll get to perform the National Anthem! There will be van transportation available to this event. It is also walkable/bikeable from the university. Click here for a video of IHS 45 participants performing the National Anthem in Memphis (thanks, Dan Phillips!) – $9 tickets will be available for purchase on the Em’s website or throughout the symposium week at IHS 52

Participant’s Horn Choir concert conducted by our own President Andrew Pelletier at the Eugene Saturday Market in downtown Eugene – Saturday, August 8. Sign up will be available at the IHS registration desk all week

On Saturday evening, Aug. 8, we will have our traditional end-of-symposium banquet. This year, we’re calling our banquet “Alpenglow” hosted by LaVelle Vineyard . There will be bus transportation available to this event. Tickets for this reception can be purchased when you purchase your registration packet
