Currently studying in Central Conservatory of Music, Zeng Yun is a young Chinese horn player now active on the international stage.
Born in a musical family in 1999, he started learning French Horn with his father, Zeng Jie at age of 6. In 2011, he was admitted to study in the Middle School attached to Central Conservatory of Music with professor Quan Wen. In 2012, he was selected to ‘Best of Best project’, specially provided to young talent musicians by Central Conservatory of Music. In 2017, he entered Central Conservatory of Music for his undergraduate study. In academic year 2019-2020, he is studying as an exchange student in Haute école de musique de Genève in Switzerland with Prof. Bruno Schneider.
Zeng Yun, represents the new generation of Chinese wind instrument player, is shining on the international stages. Starting a chain of success in international competitions with winning the 2nd prize of The 7th International Competition of Young Musicians in Vladivostok Russia in 2012, he was awarded the first prize of the 11th Wind Chamber & Brass Ensemble Solo Competition held by the Central Conservatory of Music and 2nd prize of the 8th Jeju International Brass Competition in South Korea. He was the youngest prize winner in the history of Jeju competition, and earned the honorable mention for international prize winners from the culture department of China. He won the 3rd prize in the International Youth Competition Memory of E.A. Mravinsky in St.Petersberg Russia and was invited to perform in the Shostakovich Concert Hall. In July 2015, he and his horn quartet won the 13th Wind Chamber & Brass Ensemble Quartet Competition held by the Central Conservatory of Music under the instruction of professor Quan Wen, and then received the 2nd prize in professional division of the 23rd International Horn Competition of America. With receiving the first prize of the 4th Lieksa International Horn Competition in Finland in the year of 2016, Zeng Yun began his fruitful journey in college. In 2017, he was rewarded the first prize in the 28th International Competition of ‘Citta` di Porcia’. In 2018, he participated in the 70th Prague Spring International Competition (with no preliminary round required) and received 2nd prize. This is an A class international competition recognized by the culture department of China, and he is the first Chinese contestant who won the prize in the wind division in the competition history. In 2019, Zeng Yun won the first prize of the newly introduced brass instrument category in the 16th International Tchaikovsky Competition. After the competition, Maestro Valery Gergiev addressed him as ‘ the wonderful young man from China who is the biggest surprise of the competition’.

曾韵
中央音乐学院本科学生,现活跃在世界舞台上的中国青年圆号演奏者。
1999年出生于成都的一个音乐世家,6岁起随父亲曾杰学习圆号。2011年考入中央音乐学院附中,师从于温泉教授至今。2012年被选入中央音乐学院“拔尖创新人才培养计划”。2017年考入中央音乐学院管弦系学习。在2019-2020学年,入选学院交换生项目,前往瑞士日内瓦高等音乐学院进行交换学习,师从布鲁诺·施耐德(Bruno Schneider)教授。
曾韵作为中国本土培养的新一代青年管乐演奏者,一直在国内外的舞台上大放异彩。2012年在符拉迪沃斯托克第七届青年音乐演奏家国际比赛16岁以下组中获得第二名,以此为起点,创下了在国际比赛中的一连串佳绩。2013年,接连获得中央音乐学院第十一届管乐室内乐铜管独奏比赛第一名和第八届济州国际铜管比赛第二名,是济洲国际铜管比赛有史以来年龄最小的获奖选手,并且同时获得文化部对国际比赛获奖选手的嘉奖。2014年,在俄罗斯圣彼得堡举办的第九届穆拉文斯基国际青少年器乐比赛铜管组中获得第三名,并受邀参加在肖斯塔科维奇音乐厅举办的2015圣彼得堡欧洲音乐会的演出。在2015年7月,跟随由温泉教授指导的四重奏组参加第十三届中央音乐学院管乐室内乐圆号四重奏比赛获得头奖。同年8月,获得了第二十三届美国国际圆号比赛职业组第二名。2016年,获得第四届列克萨国际圆号比赛第一名,这是曾韵在国际大赛中获得的第一个首奖,也开启了他在接下来本科学习阶段中的连续重大突破。2017年,获得第二十八届“Citta` di Porcia”国际圆号比赛第一名。2018年,以免预选选手的身份参加第七十届布拉格之春国际音乐比赛并获得第二名,这是文化部承认的国际音乐A类比赛,也是这项比赛创办以来在管乐领域获奖的第一个中国人。2019年,在第十六届柴可夫斯基国际音乐比赛,同时也是铜管组设立的元年,曾韵获得该组第一名,向世界范围内的关注者展示了中国的本土培养。在赛后俄罗斯著名指挥家捷杰耶夫评论曾韵为“一位来自中国的’惊喜’”。
